OKAY WOW TALK ABOUT INACTIVITY HAHA,,
Basically my summer has been crazy, and I will fill you in on the long version but if you want the short version: my tablet broke which is why I haven't been posting art! Even editing traditional art is a pain without it, so I just haven't been motivated to get any of my stuff on the computer. The good news is I've ordered a new tablet and it is on it's way! Woohoo!! It's an Intous 5 medium or something like that.
The long version is that as some of you know am departing for college soon, which means leaving behind or parting from a bunch of my great friends. Because of this I have been spending a TON of time with my friends and therefore less time on the computer. I've also been in and out of my college for freshman stuff, and I'm super pumped!
Also I've been sick recently which sucks, but it happens. So, since I can't do much while sick anyways, I will hopefully crank out a couple instadumps bc even though I haven't been posting much I HAVE been drawing! It's just easier to post there because I don't have to scan anything,,
REGARDLESS... I will have about a month with my new tablet before I leave for college so hopefully I can crack out a booty ton of art in that time frame! I'm not sure how much I'll be posting while away at school because I know I will be working very hard.

Okay, so...
I don't have much of a presence on DA anymore. I would kind of like to fix that? Before I couldn't keep up with it because I was battling with depression and anxiety, but recently I've obtained a lot of new ways to cope, as well as taking antidepressants which have been very effective!
I have quite a bit of both digital and traditional art stocked up from my free time this summer, so hopefully I can post one or two things a day for at least a little while.
I can't guarantee that I won't disappear again. But for now, I'm here! How are you guys?? Those of you that still follow me, haha!
Art College
So, for the past three months I've been away at school working my hand to the bone. Art school is really hard and anyone that tells you otherwise is full of shit because WOW those were the most intense 10 weeks of my life - and I get to do it again.
Just from the short period of time I spent there and the instruction I received during that time, my skill and knowledge have grown immensely!
In addition to that, I also made a lot of great friends! They're all so talented and I'm honored to be surrounded by a network of other hardworking artists.
I am on a long break though - all the way until January! Now that's a long time, and I don't wann

You may notice that I now have a lil' star next to my username... yes, it has happened, I am now a premium member!! Shock and amazement.
I have also changed my username, my original motivation for getting premium.

Although I'll always be fond of ExplosiveWatermelon, MsDollyTate better aligns with my other accounts on websites like Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr etc, so I'm more recognizable across all social media. Which seems a little weird, but I do my best to be consistent!

My Life is Less Crazy?
Well, no, it's still pretty wack but it went from like bad crazy to average crazy so I've gotta say I'm happy about that.
A few updates and insights into what's been going on with me:
:bulletblue: I've finished all my classes for high school and I have graduated as of May 20th!
:bulletblue: I've been accepted to/enrolled in/given scholarships to a major art college, SCAD!
:bulletblue: I am going to be dedicating this summer before I go off to school to improving my art and experimenting!
Yep, that's right, I'm going art crazy this summer. Hopefully. I figure that sense I won't have any summer work or obligations, I can crank out a few go
